Steeple  clocks were  another  very  popular  style  throughout  the latter  part  of the   1800`s.

This  clock by Jerome & Co was  likely  made  by  the New Haven Clock Co  after  it  taken  over  the  Jerome Co and continued  to sell some  clocks  under  that brand. It has  a time train  only (no striking hence  only  one  winding  hole) and  is  therefore  referred  to as a timepiece.

This clock was purchased as  seen , it  has  been  dismantled  cleaned  and  oiled. The  case  has  been touched  up in  places and  it  runs reliably  keeping  good  time.
